The Conserve program makes it easy to reduce the impact of emissions just by pumping gas at Circle K. Every time you fill up, you’re fueling investment in carbon reduction projects designed to pull carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, positively impacting communities throughout the world.
With Conserve, you’re also supporting local volunteer projects and sponsorships in the communities where we live, work and play. One of the ways we’re able to successfully fulfill our promise is by partnering with community organizations that share our commitment to a healthier planet.
This month, we’re spotlighting our newest nonprofit partner, Arizona Sustainability Alliance.
The Arizona Sustainability Alliance (AZSA) is a 501(c)3 nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that creates and supports cutting-edge, project-based sustainability solutions in Arizona. Through civic engagement, collaboration, and education, AZSA empowers Arizonans to work together towards more livable, equitable and sustainable communities.
One of AZSA’s hands-on priorities is renewable energy. In a state where the majority of energy is produced by non-renewable resources, AZSA aims to demonstrate successful applications of renewable energy in the community.
AZSA’s objectives for renewable energy include:
- Promoting sustainable energy by strategically implementing renewable energy projects in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area
- Educating the public about renewable energy in creative, innovative, and interactive ways through projects that also incorporate community health and beautification
- Creating regular community events aimed at demystifying renewable energy and promoting the overall growth of sustainable energy.
The organization aims to demonstrate renewable energy in creative, innovative, and interactive ways through projects that incorporate community health, connectedness, and beautification. Their vision is to cultivate a sustainable energy culture shift where renewables are the norm in Arizona, not an afterthought.
AZSA projects and programs are high-impact, focusing on building capacity in low-income communities through prioritizing five areas: sustainable food systems, renewable energy, urban forestry, conservation, and cities. Their projects have a significant positive impact on youth, education, and workforce development.
We’re proud to partner with the dedicated staff and volunteers of the Arizona Sustainability Alliance. Thank you for supporting them each time you fill up at Circle K!
